“MNCREW has contracted with Limelight since 2004. We are very pleased with the results including a visual identity and communications standards guide, media sponsorships for events, several media mentions, and helping us create public relations opportunities. We look forward to a continuing relationship!”

Financial Women International
Founded in 1921, Financial Women International is a professional association of women working together to achieve success in the financial services industry. The organization provides a supportive environment for lifelong learning and professional growth to help members be successful throughout their careers.
However, the association’s membership had been declining since 1987. The membership largely consisted of middle-management women with more than 20 years experience, ages 46 and up. Failure to engage younger women would continue to seriously threaten FWI’s existence over the course of the next decade.
In 2006, FWI hired Limelight to help the association rebound from its losses and successfully recruit younger members.
Limelight compiled the results of a membership audit, communications audit, industry research, SWOT analysis, surveys, and member interviews to develop a Strategic Membership & Marketing Plan.
The strategic plan identified two main strategies for FWI: building internal perception that membership is highly valued and essential, and increasing external awareness of FWI among the financial services industry.
Shortly after hiring Limelight, Financial Women International launched a new brand and Web site, increased its visibility and credibility within the industry through public relations and national media, and fostered growth among its declining membership.
FWI also observed a 50 percent membership increase, and retained 80 percent of the current membership.
This was the first time FWI’s membership had observed an increase in 20 years! |
